Product Review: Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Cream

Burdock Root Butter Cream
Burdock Root Butter Cream

I added Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Cream as one of my favorite moisturizing products in my hair care regimen primarily because it is the only product I am using at the moment that basically gives me the same effects as other moisturizing products I have used in the past. Does that mean all moisturizing products are the same? no, it just means the Burdock Root Butter Cream does its job well enough. I have no complaints but I am not gushing over it (but everybody wants their hair care regimen products to be gush-worthy at some point).

I like how the product focuses on moisturizing fine, thin hair, because I have 4a/4b thin kinky curly hair that breaks really easily and is naturally lacking moisture...all-the-time. I do think that this product is particularly good for fine hair that is thick AND kinky kinky. I think it might be too heavy if your hair is fine and has loose curls, unless you were just greasing it back into a bun or ponytail. This product unfortunately does contain some phenoxyethanol, boooo! I think I was too excited to finally purchase the new line of Qhemet Biolgoics to read the ingredients list carefully.

I usually use the product when I am combing through loose hair then I apply a sealant (usually Carol's Daughter Tui Moisturizing Hair Oil). It has a nice traditional hair moisturizing cream smell, nothing off putting. I also find it does not leave a residue and the hair absorbs it fairly well.

You can purchase the product online at Qhemet Biologics or I was able to find it at a local specialty food and goods store.
